Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Overview

Toolskit UK is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little), how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

The short version: We don't collect personal data to use our tools. Files you upload (images) are processed entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to our servers. We use Google AdSense to display advertisements, which may use cookies.

Data We Collect

No registration required. You do not need to create an account, provide your name, email address or any personal information to use any tool on Toolskit UK.

Files and uploads. When you upload an image to our image tools (compressor, resizer, converter), the file is processed locally using your browser's JavaScript engine and HTML Canvas API. Your file never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server.

Calculator inputs. Numbers you enter into our calculators (mortgage amount, salary, etc.) are processed locally in your browser. These values are not transmitted or stored.

Google AdSense and Cookies

We display adverts served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to show you relevant advertisements based on your browsing history across the web. This may include:

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings or by using the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out at optout.networkadvertising.org.

Analytics

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymised data such as pages visited, time on site, and approximate location (city level). No personally identifiable information is included. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to: access any personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion; object to processing; and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

As we collect minimal personal data, the most effective action is to clear your browser cookies and local storage.

Third-Party Links

Our blog and tool pages may contain links to third-party websites (e.g. HMRC, government sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
